ECOLOGY ENVIRONMENT
GEOMIN provides qualified services in the field of environmental protection management, in particular, with focus on:

In preparing audits, a wide range of geological and environmental investigation methods is used
The preparation of environmental audit and assessment of environmental damage from the viewpoint of environmental protection is carried out pursuant to Act No. 92/1992 Coll., modifying and amending Act No. 92/1991 Coll., on the conditions of the state property transfer to other persons, and further pursuant to the Methodical Guidance of the Ministry for National Property Administration and Privatization and of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic of May 18, 1992.

The grounds for the state bodie's decision to be made on implementation of the remedial measures Risk assessment preparation is carried out pursuant to the Methodical Guidance for Risk Assessment of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic (Bulletin of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic No. 8/1996), and pursuant to the methodology of the National Property Fund of the Czech Republic "Risk Assessment Preparation Principles"

In the field of water management and water protection, GEOMIN establishes and operates groundwater monitoring systems to control the effects of anthropogenic activities on the hydrosphere, for example:
- The monitoring of the effects of seepage waters from the dumping sites and landfills, the monitoring of the contamination trends
- The monitoring carried out in industrial zones and premises
- The monitoring of the effects of agricultural activities
- The monitoring of road effects on the groundwater
- The monitoring of the contamination development in time and space
- Groundwater resources quality monitoring.
GEOCHEMICAL INVESTIGATION
Of rising significance in the field of the environment is GEOCHEMISTRY.
GEOMIN carries out :
- the sampling of soils, waters, stream sediments and heavy-mineral concentrates
- chemical analyses
- the processing of the acquired data and their interpretation
- the comparisons of results with the relevant directives and target values
In particular, geochemical investigation contríbutes to:
- identifying and locating the increased contents of risk posing elements in individual environmental compartments
- identifying probable sources of the increased contents (anthropogenic/geogenic) with help of geology (the exceedance of target values itself provides no information on the origin !!!)
- definition of extent of the contamination
- assessing of contamination risk levels in line with the valid legislation
- assessing of contaminants input into food chain
- assessing of health risks
